Trip to Nashville

Mother's Day weekend we made the trip to Nashville, TN to have a family weekend and visit with my brother who lives there. Pappa, Mimi, & Aunt Bet were there also and got us all checked into our condos for the weekend. Jonathan had to work on Friday so we took that time to go visit the Gaylord Opryland Hotel & Convention Center. Very impressive! Of course I did not take any pictures while we were there. We rode the boat through the lobby and learned that when they built the hotel they sent out something like 15,000 empty Jack Daniels bottles and asked people to fill them with water from their local waterway. The bottles they got back they used the water to fill up their "river". As a former York County resident I was pleased to see that the Catawba River had some water represented. They also have all kinds of fish and according to our river guide there is a 80 lb. one-eyed catfish that lives in the boathouse. We agreed that they need to get that fish out of the boathouse and put him on display!
On Saturday Jonathan took us to Dragon Park...do you see the dragon?
