Lindsey - You Asked For It

After much nagging, I mean encouragement, I have posted. Check out the following posts & enjoy knowing more than you cared for about the Josh Miller family's Christmas adventures.

Christmas #5

The day after Christmas my family convened at our house for celebrations. I borrowed an idea from a college friend (thanks Molly!) to have some Christmas antlers that you had to wear when it was your turn to open a gift. Lindsey - you should recognize these from the '08 Reindeer Romp! I'll admit if this had not been my idea I would have groaned & rolled my eyes. However, since it was my idea I LOVED IT...even if others groaned & rolled their eyes.
No one escaped the antlers...Uncle Jonathan,

Chrissy,

Mimi,

Pappa,

Aunt Z,

me,

Josh,

Sam,

Troy,

& even Meema!

We were so thankful that everyone was willing to come to Seneca to celebrate. It was really nice not having to get back in the car for another trip...we would have done it to see the fam but it was nice not to.

Christmas #4

Christmas Day we headed over to Anderson for more time with Nana,

Pops,

Aunt Stacy & Uncle John,

and Aunt Meg & Uncle Matt.

Troy brushes up on his reading.

While Sam does some work with his new power tool bench.

We had lots of fun playing games & eating! So nice that we can all be together during the holidays.

Christmas #3

After getting back from our trip we had Christmas Eve for our celebration. Aunt Z (my sister Elizabeth) came over & joined us for our traditional Christmas Eve supper of shrimp & grits. Then we opened our gifts.

Troy checks out some of the gifts under the tree.

Sam immediately started using his Tag reader & new headphones to read his new (& favorite) book "Chicka Chicka Boom Boom".

Troy playing with his new puzzles & blocks.

After we went to bed "Santa" came & filled our stockings.

We had a fun & simple Christmas Eve.

Christmas #1 & #2

We had a very extensive & well traveled Christmas. Christmas #1 started in Lexington, Tennessee with Granddaddy & Grandmama Miller. We had a safe trip but got caught in some TERRIBLE traffic in Atlanta. Just to give you an idea of our journey we left Seneca about 4 hours before John & Stacy left Pendleton...they pulled in 15 minutes after we arrived!

The revised Miller Christmas play. It's great to hear the Christmas story & Miller singing.

Uncles, aunts, cousins...all before the frenzied gift card exchange.

Gary tries to record it all.

We improvised our devotion/advent time in the hotel.

After a great visit with family in Tennessee we headed farther west to Searcy, Arkansas. We enjoyed seeing & staying with Mamma Boggs.

Fixin' to open gifts

Uncle John & Aunt Stacy wait like the rest of us. They stayed with Rita Kay & Phil on the "ranch". I did get to ride Rita Kay & Phil's horse again despite my complete dork-iness on our last visit.

Troy & Sam help me figure out my new foot massager from Mamma.

Rita Kay & Carol...it was all we could do to keep them from breaking out into the song & dance "Sisters" from White Christmas.

We had a wonderful visit with Mamma, Rita Kay, & Phil. We missed having Aunt Meg & Uncle Matt with us...they had to work & couldn't make the trip this year. We are certainly blessed to have such a loving family.
