While Mulch Moves...

We had a HUGE load of mulch delivered. Josh & I would tackle it each night after supper. Sam & Troy supervised from the porch. They seriously loved these party hats & wore them as often as they could.

Popsicles, yum!

Dinner at the Kelleys

While Mamaw was in town we got together with the Millers as much as possible to enjoy the time with her. One night we went to Meg & Matt's in Greenville. Meg was a great hostess.

While Pops, Uncle Matt, & Uncle John entertained themselves with some heavy literature.

Mamaw, Troy, Nana, & Sam

Getting ready for the family picture...Uncle Matt looks confused, Pops is adjusting his specs, & Uncle John, well who really knows what's going on with Uncle John.

Still getting ready...anyone looking at the camera? Weird hand on face poses? Josh does his impression of an invisible man.

At last!

We had a wonderful time with Mamaw while she was in town & look forward to our next visit.

More Easter Pictures

After Easter services at church we had a nice lunch & attempted to get some pictures of the boys in their Easter duds. This is their distracted look.

Thoughtfully Amused

Blue Steele

This is what Troy does when you say "Say Cheese!"

Now, to try & get a picture of the four of us...

Josh, where should we look?

I guess we should pay more attention to what Josh tries to tell us.

Troy's Party

We had Troy's party the evening after the egg hunt. We had a great time with family. Pops, Nana, Pappa, Mimi, Aunt Z, Uncle John, Aunt Stacy, & our special guest Mamaw from Arkansas. I made his cake...legos!

And his birthday shirt...2 & peace!

Get that paper off!

Troy & Sam were both excited about this gift from Uncle John & Aunt Stacy. A weasel ball, a favorite from Cracker Barrel.

Church Egg Hunt

After we had practiced finding eggs at home we headed over to one of our favorite parks for our church's egg hunt. The boys spent some time swinging...

climbing...

and hanging out with Pappa before searching for eggs.

Troy checks out what kind of eggs his friend Hunter has in his basket.

Daddy & Pappa show Sam & Troy that there are prizes & candy inside the eggs.

We had a nice lunch.

And then had a family picture taken.

Silly...

Happy Easter!

Egg Hunt #1

Sam & Troy enjoyed hunting Easter eggs in our yard. Both of them are sporting their "Spring Semi-Formal" shirts that I made.

Look carefully...

Found it!

Hey, what's that yellow thing?

Success!

Hope this one gets found before we drive off.

Got it!

Troy really got into it this year...it helps that he can walk.

Sam's basket is getting full.

Troy gets a little help from Mimi.

Sam had the eagle eye finding this pink one in all the camellia petals.

Aunt Z

My sister, Elizabeth (now called Aunt Z), and Troy share a birthday. We had her celebration that night along with Mimi, Pappa, & Meredith (Z's housemate). I made her a cake & decorated it to look like a purse. BUT the stupid thing fell over during supper (AGGGHHHH!). It still tasted good but just didn't look as impressive. Not the first time I've had to deal with cute birthday cake mishaps...check out this old post.

Troy watched & took notes while Aunt Z blew out her candle.

Troy is 2

Troy is now 2! Hard to believe but true. We started his day off with presents at breakfast. (While our sad dogs watched from the deck...so pathetic!)

A racetrack for his cars.
Showing how it's done...tear that paper off!

We had just enough time to set the track up before Daddy had to go to work.

Trying it out...success!

Oconee State Park

The weekend before Easter we took a little afternoon trip up to Oconee State Park...one of our favorite places. We packed a picnic supper & invited Pops & Nana to join us. While we were waiting on them to arrive we decided to explore the "lake" with one of the paddle boats. Josh got everyone fitted for PFDs.

Sam chose his spot, for the moment.

Then decided that he would prefer to ride on my lap instead of peddling.

Troy enjoyed his view & acted as our coxswain. Of course they both moved around & switched places often during our little ride.

Josh dropped his sunglasses into the water...

No luck getting them out.

Pops & Nana arrived & Pops decided to hop in a paddle boat too. Unfortunately he somehow managed to get it stuck & Josh was "forced" to ram him.

After our picnic we spent some time throwing rocks & sticks into the lake. I was a bit cold.

Sam & Troy made good use of the playground.

And Pops attempted to capture everything on his new video camera.

With full bellies & a desire to warm up we head off for a short hike around the lake.

Despite a few falls, some scrapes & bruises we had a great time.
