Oconee State Park

The weekend before Easter we took a little afternoon trip up to Oconee State Park...one of our favorite places. We packed a picnic supper & invited Pops & Nana to join us. While we were waiting on them to arrive we decided to explore the "lake" with one of the paddle boats. Josh got everyone fitted for PFDs.

Sam chose his spot, for the moment.

Then decided that he would prefer to ride on my lap instead of peddling.

Troy enjoyed his view & acted as our coxswain. Of course they both moved around & switched places often during our little ride.

Josh dropped his sunglasses into the water...

No luck getting them out.

Pops & Nana arrived & Pops decided to hop in a paddle boat too. Unfortunately he somehow managed to get it stuck & Josh was "forced" to ram him.

After our picnic we spent some time throwing rocks & sticks into the lake. I was a bit cold.

Sam & Troy made good use of the playground.

And Pops attempted to capture everything on his new video camera.

With full bellies & a desire to warm up we head off for a short hike around the lake.

Despite a few falls, some scrapes & bruises we had a great time.
