4th of July...I'm never late

For the July 4th weekend we spent a family, fun packed time with Pops, Nana, Uncle John, Aunt Stacy, Aunt Meg, & Uncle Matt in Helen, Georgia. We explored downtown Helen, went fishing, tubing (my favorite), the guys played golf, & we had a couples Rook tournament which Meg & Matt won (the dorks).

We also celebrated Meg's birthday.

Sam had to help blow out the candles because she's getting so old!

Instead of venturing back into Helen for the 4th fireworks we played with sparklers on the dock.

Brothers in the hot tub, making their own bubbles.

We went & played mini golf with Pops & Nana. Josh got in trouble before the first hole & spent some time in the stocks.

Sam & Troy have developed a deep fondness for mini golf. They aren't quite sure how to play exactly but they have a great time & because of their age usually get to play for free!

Pops & Nana braved the heat with us. We did get some ice cream after we finished our round which helped everyone cool down.

We finished the trip up by going to the local state park & having a picnic lunch. We were able to play in the river, which greatly aided in cooling down again.

We had a wonderful time with everyone & hope that this becomes a yearly tradition...well except for Meg & Matt winning the Rook tournament!
