Labor Day Hike

On Labor Day this year we headed up the mountain for a nice morning hike. We thought Sam was ready to hike by himself this time so we left the second pack at home.

Troy, however, is not ready to "hoof it" yet...

So Josh strapped him on his back.

Starting off on a section of the Foothills Trail.

Sam had picked up some rocks to throw in the water.

Shiloh & Dozer came with us also...we want them to feel like they are still part of the family.

So, Josh decided it would be a good time for a swim. We hadn't brought swimming things...

so, we made do.

Finally picture proof that I was on the hike also (although I didn't join in with the swimming).

We had a great time...there's just something about getting outside & being in the woods that helps us stay connected. What a glorious creation! After we dried off and hiked back to the car we changed into our Clemson attire & headed to Chick-fil-A for some free chicken. And of course more football that night. All in all not a bad way to spend the day.
